PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system, an information processing apparatus, and a control program for the information processing apparatus that can reduce labor when exchanging a terminal.SOLUTION: An old terminal 200a stores biological information 221, ID, and a common key 222. The old terminal 200a confirms that a wearer of the old terminal 200a is right based on the biological information 221 and transmits the ID and the common key 222 to a reader/writer apparatus 100. The reader/writer apparatus 100 authenticates the wearer of the old terminal 200a based on the received ID and the common key 222 and registers the received ID and the common key 222 with a new terminal 200b if predetermined conditions are all satisfied. The predetermined conditions include a condition that a short-range radio communication is established between the old terminal 200a and the new terminal 200b respectively, a condition that the confirmation of which the wearer of the old terminal 200a is right has been finished, and a condition that the authentication of the wearer of the old terminal 200a has been finished.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
