A mounting arrangement 10 which may be used for a shower comprises a stub 30 with internal threads 30a to which a fitting i.e. a tap or spout not shown is secured in use, and an adjustable stop component 30b in threaded engagement within the stub. The adjustable stop may be a stop ring adjustable by an Allen key or screw driver cooperating with suitable shaped formations on the stop ring. Later embodiments relate to a support element for use in a mounting element. A mounting arrangement comprising a threaded stub and a sealing member in threaded engagement with the threaded stub.
