A pressure regulator 10 adapted to be arranged in a pump module of an internal combustion engine’s fuelling equipment is disclosed. The regulator comprises a tuning feature 18 for calibrating the force of a spring 38 loaded valve 14 which controls a fluid flow path. The tuner may be the face of a cam, or eccentric, integral to a shaft which extends along an axis perpendicular to that of the biasing means 38. A locking device may also be present which comprises a keys that engage with complementary key holes 94. The locking and tuning features may have tool engagement means. The invention provides a regulator that is cheap, easy to manufacture and easy to calibrate. A method of calibrating the regulator in a liquid free environment, a pump module and a calibration machine are also disclosed.
