The invention relates to an orthodontic device for expanding the maxilla or mandible of a patient in the transverse direction and its manufacturing method. According to the invention, a first housing of an expansion screw, a first branch and first support means on one or more teeth of the patient form a first one-piece assembly, without welding, obtained by printing by fusion of a bed of powder, and a second housing, a second branch and second means of bearing on one or more teeth of the patient form a second one-piece, seamless assembly obtained by laser melting a bed of powder. The first and second one-piece assemblies are machined to allow mounting of the screw and slides of a screw expansion system. Figure to be published: 2.
