A method of controlling a virtualized reality system comprising a virtualized reality device is proposed, which includes, in the virtualized reality system: receiving a wireless signal transmitted to a surface on which a user is located, whose range defines on the surface a plurality of zones comprising a first zone without alert and a second zone with alert, a characteristic relating to the transmitted signal being able to take a second value corresponding to the second zone; upon detection of the characteristic having the second value, generate an alert signal, and transmit the alert signal to a control unit of the virtualized reality system to notify a user of the Fig system. 2
