Fire hydrant security system (DSP) designed to block the opening of fire hydrants. The invention aims to block the rotation of the upper maneuvering square which actuates the water supply valve of a fire hydrant through a metallic exo-structure. This exo-structure consists of a strapping (1) forming a clamp consisting of two half-collars (2) (3). The strapping (1) is assembled on the lower part of the body of the hydrant. A fire brigade padlock (10) locks the strapping (1) to a bracket (8). The upper end of the stem (8) is fitted with a securing cap (7). The latter crowns the upper maneuvering square and prohibits any rotation. The device according to the invention is particularly intended to prevent or complicate the commissioning and therefore the flow of water of this type of hydrant by third parties outside the fire service.
