Device to protect at least one container (2) against intrusion by means of at least one exothermically reacting fluid (9),characterized by the fact that the device has at least one pressure sensor (10), which produces a signal which depends on the pressure within the container (2), and which is connected to at least one actuator (15), which locks at least one fluid container (16) in a closed position and at least one fluid container (16) connects with at least one container (2) so that, if pressure increases, at least one container (2) fluid (17) flows from at least one fluid container (16) into at least one container (2),to displace and/or dilute at least one exothermically reacting fluid (9) from at least one container (2).
