Protective claims of the functions of a PC program to determine the local market situation and the nature of the goods and services of large area markets, characterized by the first. the market and the market plan are appropriately divided into approximately 360 categories, each of which is continuously numbered and which relate predominantly to two conflicting product ranges with the corresponding section. Each of the two shelves of a category section exhibits a product typical of that shelf (category guides),so that in the end-effect approximately 700 typical goods signal to the customer the position of the respective product category. Goods outside the main regulation (market edges) are identified by prototypes or subgroups of goods and also numbered according to their position.
