The invention relates to a method for producing a sanitary component, the sanitary component being a toilet seat, a toilet lid or a lid of a urinal, the method comprising the following steps: a) opening a tool mold that defines a cavity, the cavity corresponds to a shape of the sanitary component; b) coating an inner surface of the mold that defines the cavity with a coating material; c) filling the cavity with an uncured fiber-plastic composite material, the fiber-plastic composite material joining with the coating material; d) Opening the tool mold and removing the sanitary component after at least partial curing of the fiber-plastic composite material, the coating material forming an outer surface of the sanitary component.
