Reluctance spring with non-linear spring properties, comprising: a magnetic field generating element (100) for generating a magnetic field; a core element (102) for guiding the magnetic field and for generating a magnetic circuit, the core element (102) defining a gap; a movable, soft magnetic mass element ( 104 '), which is arranged in the gap and changes a total reluctance in the magnetic circuit through its movement, the mass element (104') having a wedge-shaped geometry and being deflectable in a direction which is transverse to a north-south axis of the magnetic field generating element extends so that the width of the gap is variable, wherein the mass element (104 ') is deflectable in a direction that runs transversely to a plane defined by the magnetic circuit, or wherein the mass element (104') is deflectable in a direction that runs within a plane defined by the magnetic circuit.
