FIELD: testing equipment; machine building.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means (test machines) and methods of mechanical tests for tension and tension-compression with zero crossing. Universal grip comprises hydraulic cylinder fixed on pin of loading device, and replaceable head for arrangement of attachment elements of different specimens. Hydraulic cylinder comprises piston, housing mating with piston, flange attached to housing and mating with piston rod and lock nut. Piston, body and flange form hydraulic cavities, which serve to move body at clamping and detachment of test specimen. For tests of smooth cylindrical and flat samples, a head is used, which includes a housing with cylindrical holes inclined to a vertical axis, fixed on a hydraulic cylinder, a set of replaceable holders for clamping test specimens, placed in cylindrical holes of the housing of the head, pins located inside the cages and attached to the housing of the hydraulic cylinder, springs pressing the cages for clamping the test specimens to the end of the hydraulic cylinder piston, a plug which breaks the hole in the hydraulic cylinder piston. For testing cylindrical specimens with heads a head is used, including a body with a threaded hole, fixed on hydraulic cylinder, set of supports for placing heads of test specimens, which are articulated with hydraulic cylinder piston and with sample head, set of split plugs for fixation of tested samples, which are articulated with housing of head and attached to each other by pins.;EFFECT: technical result is possibility of mounting on same hydraulic cylinder permanently installed on machine loading device.;1 cl, 3 dwg
