Method of decoding buffer information uses a property of multiple use of one and the same reference picture in processes of coding with prediction and decoding for a plurality of pictures, in order to use correlation between elements of buffer description information BD[k] used for various pictures, in order to reduce redundant information, thereby achieving an effect of efficient coding of buffer description information. Additionally, information specific to each reference picture (dependency information) is the same as for the referenced picture, and thus the information can be inherited without changes.;EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of information coding due to reduction of redundant information and absence of need for repeated coding and decoding of information.;1 cl, 24 dwg
