The present invention relates to a socially vulnerable person recognition device and to a driving method of the device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the socially vulnerable person recognition device comprises: a communication interface unit receiving a photographed image photographed by a plurality of photographing devices; and a control unit classifying designated objects determined as a socially vulnerable person in the received photographed image by first deep learning (DCNN), and finally determining whether an object which is impossible to determine a socially vulnerable person among the designated objects classified by the first DCNN is the socially vulnerable person by second DCNN having characteristics different from the first DCNN.
