The present invention relates to a real-time simulation system and a control method thereof and, more specifically, to a simulation system using real-time input/output control for providing a general API- and GUI-based integrated development environment (IDE), a control method thereof, and a recording medium for storing a computer program source for the control method. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a real-time simulation system for providing a general API- and GUI-based IDE comprises: an SDK unit which includes a GUI-based IDE unit for generating a computer program source for a simulator and an execution file created through the source, and a proxy unit including a general API capable of remotely controlling an operating state of the simulator and identifying input/output control and input/output results; and the simulator which executes the computer program source and the execution file created through the source. According to the present invention, the real-time simulation system can be effectively developed in a short period of time.
