The present invention provides a buckling-restrained brace of a higher-order deformation mode, which improves seismic performance by ideal hysteric behavior, can be manufactured without a mortar filling work, and enables the easy replacement thereof in a structure after an earthquake occurs. According to a proper embodiment of the present invention, the buckling-restrained brace of a higher-order deformation mode comprises: a steel core having an elastoplastic behavior unit having a long plate shape with a relatively narrow width across a prescribed section of the center thereof to elastoplastically behave in a prescribed yield section; upper and lower shim plates arranged on the upper and lower portions of the elastoplastic behavior unit of the steel core to be close to each other with a prescribed gap to suppress in-plane deformation of the elastoplastic behavior unit in the gap; an out-of-plane buckling prevention part installed on both sides of the steel core to suppress out-of-plane deformation of the elastoplastic behavior unit; and a sliding plate interposed between the sides of the steel core and the out-of-plane buckling prevention part to prevent heat friction fusion of the steel core and the out-of-plane buckling prevention part during hysteric behavior of the elastoplastic behavior unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
