The present invention relates to a resistance spot welding device for securing a turbulence insert on an inner wall of a steam generator tube, including a welding head 1 that can be inserted into a steam generator tube, the welding head being electrically conductive. The lance 11 made of a material and formed into a substantially cylindrical shape, the spot welding electrode 12 projecting radially from the lance 11, the operation member 13, and the spot welding electrode 12 in the radial direction. It includes an insulator 14 which is located opposite and movable in the direction of the inner wall portion from the operating member 13. In this case, the lance 11 is spaced apart from the weld head end at a defined spacing interval so that when the operating member 13 is activated, the insulator 14 and thus the spot welding electrode 12 also carry the turbulence insert into the steam generator tube. It is tapered to press toward the inner wall of the wall. Thus, when a welding current is applied to the lance 11, a point-shaped welding current flows through the spot welding electrode 12 toward the counter electrode 3 disposed outside of the steam generator tube.
