Disclosed is a bus operation information providing method for notifying the presence of a waiting person at a bus stop. The method comprises the following steps. A bus operation information server receives boarding information on to-be-boarded buses a user intends to board from a user terminal carried by the user or a bus stop terminal. The bus operation information server determines a scheduled-to-arrive bus that is scheduled to arrive at the bus stop earliest among the to-be-boarded buses in service. The bus operation information server transmits waiting person information indicating the presence of a waiting person who wants to board to a bus terminal installed in the scheduled-to-arrive bus. The bus terminal notifies a driver of the scheduled-to-arrive bus of that there is the waiting person at the bus stop based on the received waiting person information. The bus stop terminal displays a fact that there is the waiting person on a display installed at the bus stop. The bus terminal decelerates the scheduled-to-arrive bus as the scheduled-to-arrive bus approaches the bus stop. According to the present invention, since the driver of the scheduled-to-arrive bus will be notified the fact that there is the waiting person at the bus stop when there is the waiting person at the bus stop, it is possible to prevent the bus from passing the bus stop without stopping, thereby increasing convenience for users.
