According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided are a method and apparatus for providing a virtual mobile infrastructure (VMI) push service which enable a user to receive a VMI push service even when the VMI service is not running or a display screen of a device is off by determining whether a push event occurs on at least one virtual machine (VM) supported corresponding to the VMI service, and transmitting a push alarm arrival message according to the occurrence of the push event on a VMI client terminal of the corresponding user according to the determination result.
