The present invention relates to a photocatalyst comprising a selenium-doped carbon nitride nanosheet, and a method for preparing formic acid from carbon dioxide by applying the same to a photocatalyst-enzyme coupled system. The photocatalyst comprising the selenium-doped carbon nitride nanosheet has an excellent NADH regeneration effect, has an effect of generating formic acid from carbon dioxide, and is capable of absorbing visible light in sunlight instead of a conventional electrode for electrical conversion. The present invention is not only economical and environmentally friendly because there is no waste of additional energy costs by using solar energy, but also can be favorably used in a new manufacturing industry using artificial photosynthesis which selectively prepares various compounds by fixing carbon dioxide, a warming gas.
