The present invention relates to a fire detection system based on an artificial intelligence technology and a fire detection method based on an artificial intelligence technology, for detecting a fire using deep learning. The fire detection system based on an artificial intelligence technology of the present invention comprises: a camera unit for photographing a certain area and generating a first image and a second image according to a photographing time; an object extraction unit including a plurality of preset reference objects, extracting a first motion object between the first image and the second image by receiving the first image and the second image from the camera unit, generating a detection signal when the first motion object is matched to the reference objects to be more than or equal to a reference value while comparing the first motion object with the reference objects, and generating a non-detection signal when the first motion object is matched to the reference objects to be less than the reference value; an image conversion unit for receiving the first image and the second image from the object extraction unit, and generating a first background removing image while removing the same part by comparing the first image and the second image when the detection signal is received from the object extraction unit; an image division unit for dividing the first background removing image by a plurality of division lines, and calculating the size of the first motion object while moving the division lines to the first motion object; and an analysis unit for generating an abnormal signal when the size of the first motion object is greater than or equal to a set size, and generating a normal signal when the size of the first motion object is less than the set size.
