Disclosed is a mixed modified organic montmorillonite, a synthesis method thereof, and an application thereof in the efficient degradation of perfluorinated compounds. By means of using poly-4-vinylpyridine styrene to organically modify montmorillonite, followed by using cetyltrimethylammonium bromide to organically modify the poly-4-vinylpyridine styrene-modified montmorillonite, the resulting mixed modified organic montmorillonite increases the adsorption of the hydrated electron precursor, indoleacetic acid, and protects the hydrated electrons, thereby achieving rapid degradation and defluorination of PFOA without being affected by solution pH, NO 3-, SO 42- and dissolved oxygen.
