Provided are a workout assistance device, workout assistance method, and workout assistance program that can contribute to a user's health maintenance by making a workout easier and continuable for the user. In the present invention, a control device (30) carries out control such that a whole-body image (50A) of a user (50) at a place P1 and a whole-body image (60A) of a user (60) at a place P2 are displayed on a television (51) at the place P1 and a television (61) at the place P2. The control unit (30) causes the speakers of the televisions (51) and (61) to simultaneously output audio information that urges starting of a workout. Upon receiving the audio output from the speakers, the users (50) and (60) start the workout. The users (50) and (60) can do the workout by watching the facial expressions and the whole body of each other displayed on the televisions (51) and (61). Accordingly, the users (50) and (60) can obtain the feeling that the users (50) and (60) are doing the workout together, not alone.
