The present invention relates to the technical field of production index monitoring, and provides a production index visual monitoring system and method based on configuration. The system comprises: a factory basic information module for modeling factory basic information; a visual monitoring configuration design environment module for constructing procedures and sub-procedures of each process; a visualization and visual analysis module for providing a production index visualization and visual analysis scheme; a data detection module for detecting the relationship between production index data; a production index monitoring module for visually monitoring the technological process; and a monitoring result analysis module for analyzing a new abnormity and fault which appear in a production index monitoring process but are not detected. The method implements visual monitoring of production indexes on the basis of the modules of the system. The production index visual monitoring system and method provided by the present invention implement dynamic adjustment of production index monitoring, so that the production index visual monitoring system has a dynamic evolution capability.
