The objective of the invention is to provide a steel cord-rubber composite which demonstrates excellent adhesion between the rubber and the steel cord and achieves high levels of both crack-resistance and low heat build-up. In order to solve the problem, the present invention provides a steel cord-rubber composite comprising a steel cord having a ternary alloy plating layer and a rubber composition covering the steel cord, wherein the rubber composition contains a rubber ingredient, carbon black, silica, a vulcanizing agent, and a vulcanization accelerator, the carbon black has a cethyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) adsorption specific surface area of 110 to 160 m2/g, a full width at half maximum ΔD50 of 60 nm or narrower for the peak containing the Stokes equivalent diameter Dst indicating the mode of an agglomerate distribution obtained by the sedimentation method, and a ratio (ΔD50/Dst) of 0.95 or lower between the ΔD50 and the Dst, and the silica has a CTAB adsorption specific surface area of 200 m2/g or larger.
