This beauty promotion device is provided with: a vertex recognition unit that recognizes, from imaging data in which the face of a user is captured, the respective positions of at least one fixed point which is identified depending on the facial skeletal structure and at least one movable point which is identified depending on the muscle and fat of the face; a geometric shape definition unit that defines a geometric shape having a periphery that includes the vertexes, the positions thereof having been recognized by the vertex recognition unit; a feature amount calculation unit that calculates a feature amount indicating the length or surface area of the geometric shape; and a feature amount comparison unit that compares the feature amount calculated by the feature amount calculation unit and an existing reference value serving as a value corresponding to the geometric shape.
