A constant admittance modeling and real-time simulation method for a power electronic converter, the method comprising the following steps: replacing a resistor branch, an inductor branch, a capacitor branch and a switch branch in a power electronic converter with an equivalent model where an equivalent admittance and a historical current source are connected in parallel; replacing an independent voltage source branch with an equivalent model where an equivalent admittance and an equivalent current source are connected in parallel; according to the equivalent admittance of each branch, calculating a node admittance matrix of a simulated circuit; and according to the magnitudes of the historical current source and the equivalent current source at the current simulation time and in conjunction with the node admittance matrix and the equivalent admittance of each branch, calculating each branch voltage and each branch current so as to complete the final simulation. The present invention can quickly attenuate a transient error after a switch action while avoiding re-forming an admittance matrix after the switch action, solves the problem of virtual power loss when a traditional modeling and simulation method is used for real-time simulation of a power electronic converter, and greatly improves the simulation accuracy.
