A chromatographic separation method using a simulated moving-bed technique, whereby it becomes possible to separate a component that is weakly adsorptive to an adsorbent, i.e., a weakly adsorptive component, a component that is strongly adsorptive to the adsorbent, i.e., a strongly adsorptive component, and a component that is adsorptive to the adsorbent at the level intermediate between the weakly adsorptive component and the strongly adsorptive component, i.e., a moderately adsorptive component, all contained in a base solution with at least two eluents using a circulatory system having such a structure that a plurality of packed unit columns each having the adsorbent filled therein are connected to each other in series and endlessly through a pipe, wherein the pipe in the circulatory system is provided with a base liquid supply port F, at least two eluent supply ports D respectively corresponding to the at least two eluents, an extraction port A for a weakly adsorptive fraction containing the weakly adsorptive component, an extraction port B for a moderately adsorptive fraction containing the moderately adsorptive component, and an extraction port C for a strongly adsorptive fraction containing the strongly adsorptive component, and the base liquid supply port F, the extraction port A, the extraction port B and the extraction port C have a specified positional relationship; and a chromatographic separation system which is suitable for the practice of the chromatographic separation method.
