A safety monitoring method and system for monitoring deformation of a buried pipeline through Beidou combined with a cathode protection pile. The method comprises: S1, providing a safety monitoring apparatus, wherein the safety monitoring apparatus comprises: a cathode protection pile; a crack meter, wherein one end of the crack meter is fixedly connected to the underground part of the cathode protection pile, and the other end of the crack meter is fixedly connected to a buried pipeline; a Beidou monitoring station arranged on the cathode protection pile; and a transmission unit arranged on the cathode protection pile; S2, the Beidou monitoring station acquiring ground monitoring data and transmitting the ground monitoring data to the transmission unit; S3, the crack meter acquiring relative position data of the cathode protection pile and the buried pipeline, and transmitting the relative position data to the transmission unit; S4, the transmission unit sending safety monitoring data to a data platform, wherein the safety monitoring data comprises the ground monitoring data and the relative position data; and S5, the data platform acquiring the safety monitoring data and determining the deformation situation of the buried pipeline according to the safety monitoring data.
