An intermediate direct-current loop (10) of a traction converter, and a traction converter. The intermediate direct-current loop of a traction converter comprises a grounding switch discharging circuit (11), a grounding detection circuit (12), a voltage detection circuit (13), a secondary filter circuit (14) and a direct-current support circuit (15). One end of the grounding switch discharging circuit is connected to a positive end of the intermediate direct-current loop, and the other end thereof is connected to a negative end of the intermediate direct-current loop. The grounding switch discharging circuit is connected in parallel with the grounding detection circuit, the voltage detection circuit, the secondary filter circuit, and the direct current support circuit, so that the positive and negative ends of the intermediate direct-current loop are short-circuited and grounded to achieve the purpose of releasing electric energy. Before a traction converter cabinet is opened, the electric energy of an intermediate direct-current loop is released by means of the grounding switch discharging circuit, so that workers are not affected by the failure of a voltage detection circuit, thereby further ensuring the safety of the workers.
