A multi-layer waveguide bandpass filter having a ceramic dielectric substrate, which is formed by using a ceramic dielectric as a substrate, printing an input/output electrode layer, coupling gap electrode layer, and ground shield electrode layer of a conductive layer on said substrate, dividing the two layers of the input/output electrode layer and the coupling gap electrode layer into waveguide resonant cavities, and dividing the two layers of the coupling gap electrode layer and the ground shield electrode layer into waveguide resonant cavity through-hole posts of the wave-guide resonant cavities; providing openings and gaps for introducing couplings M1, M2, M3, and M4 between the waveguide resonant cavities respectively. The present invention effectively achieves high out-of-band suppression and has advantages of low loss, high reliability, low costs, and applicability to large-scale production. In addition, the present invention is also adapted to the new development trend of the miniaturization of electronic elements.
