#$%^&*AU2020102157A420201015.pdf#####Abstract The present invention discloses a forward modelling method for the subsidence process of a foreland basin under a point load condition with inversion constraints, which comprises the following steps: establishing a general deflection equation of flexural deflection of a twodimensional elastic thin plate; optimizing boundary conditions; calculating extreme values of symmetric deflection and fractured deflection of the plate under the point load condition, including basin width, fore-bulge location and fore-bulge height; obtaining maximum deflection; using forward modelling and inversion in combination and for mutual verification, adjusting the parameters and establishing a final model for simulating the subsidence process of the foreland basin.
