The invention relates to the field of engineering, and more particularly to a method for assessing the remaining useful life of the major components of a gas turbine assembly. The present invention can be used in the creation, use, control and monitoring of a variety of different systems, including complex technical systems with integrated gas turbine assemblies used in power generation, mechanical engineering, public utilities and other fields. The present invention addresses the problem of creating a method for assessing the remaining useful life of the major components of a gas turbine assembly which would make it possible to determine the remaining useful life of the major components of a gas turbine assembly on the basis of equivalent hours, to determine the component with the lowest remaining useful life, and to automatically update the remaining useful life according to the results of inspections performed and parts repaired or replaced. By comparison with methods known to the applicants, the claimed method provides maximum universality and flexibility and makes it possible to achieve better results. In particular, it makes it possible to automatically update the remaining useful life according to the results of inspections performed.
