A hierarchical management system and method for centralized operation and maintenance of transformer substations, performing centralized operation and maintenance as well as hierarchical management on the transformer substations by collecting and reporting information in the transformer substations in combination with operation and maintenance information collected by a main station. The method can solve the contradiction between the increasing number of the transformer substations and the shortage of operation and maintenance personnel, and reduce the workload of the operation and maintenance personnel; the method breaks through the conventional operation and management mode for the transformer substations, and is based on an actual situation of operation and maintenance of the transformer substations to improve the management level for operation and maintenance of the transformer substations, thereby making the operation and maintenance management for the transformer substations more scientific, standardized, and reasonable.
