A fundus image automatic analysis and comparison method, relating to the field of image processing. The method comprises steps of: obtaining fundus images to be analyzed of different periods (S101); establishing brightness histogram equalization to preprocess the fundus images (S102); establishing a morphological filter to determine positions of macula lutea and optic disc in the preprocessed fundus images (S103); segmenting main vessels of the processed fundus images (S104); aligning the fundus images according to fundus parameters, the fundus parameters comprising: positions of macula lutea, positions of optic disc, and main vessel information (S105); and identifying a fundus image change area (S106). By means of the change area, a change in fundus health condition of a person over different periods can be intuitively seen, so as to quickly determine whether the fundus of the person has a health issue and obtain valuable information facilitating diagnosing diabetic retinopathy (DR), glaucoma, and vessel change; and it can assist in detecting and evaluating diagnostic results of related chronic diseases, where the whole process requires no manual comparison processing, thereby greatly saving the time, reducing the workload, and improving the efficiency.
