One or more implementations of the present specification provide a blockchain-basedcopyright revenue allocation method and apparatus. The method includes;receiving a targettransaction initiated by a member node device in a blockchain, where thetarget transactioncorresponds to a copyright usage event of a target work; and invoking a smartcontractcorresponding to copyright revenue allocation of the target work, executingcopyright revenueallocation logic that is declared in the smart contract and that correspondsto the copyrightusage event, and allocating copyright revenue to a copyright beneficiary ofthe target work inthe form of a transaction, where the smart contract is generated based oncopyright statusinformation that is associated with the target work and that is issued to theblockchain.
