Aluminum-containing substrate with at least one surface-applied microporous layer of an aluminum phosphate zeolite (ALPO) and additional layers, characterized in that the microporous layer of the aluminum phosphate zeolite (ALPO) represents a primary layer, on which a microporous or mesoporous secondary material is found different from the primary layer material, the microporous primary layer and the microporous or mesoporous secondary material present a disparity in the chemical nature and in their pore system, in which 1.) the primary layer microporous and microporous secondary material a1) have a gradually stepped porosity disparity, in which the microporous primary layer has an average pore diameter of 0.2 to 1 nm and the microporous secondary material has an average pore diameter 0.4 to 1.5 nm, and b1) show a disparity in chemical nature, the secondary material being microporous in the form of zeolitic silicates or aluminosilicates, or 2.) the microporous primary layer and the mesoporous secondary material a2) have a gradually stepped porosity disparity, in which the microporous primary layer has an average pore diameter of 0.2 to 1 nm and the mesoporous secondary material have an average pore diameter of 2 to 5 nm, and b2) show a disparity in chemical nature, the mesoporous secondary material being in the form of silicates.
