Provided are a miniature facility operation method and the like, which make it possible to operate a miniature associated with a visiting user. In the miniature facility operation method: a component of a miniature facility which simulates the real world or expresses a virtual world in a real space and which builds a pseudo-space is presented; purchase of component use rights is accepted; identification information of a user that purchased the use rights is stored in a storage unit in association with the component ID of the purchased component; and when the identification information is read by a reader of the miniature facility, the component ID associated with the read user identification information is acquired from the storage unit, and the component to which the acquired component ID was assigned is operated.
