The invention relates to a beryllium recovery process using a retention column based on titanium waste from the titanium ingots manufacturing process carried out in a factory of the concerned industry. According to the invention, the process consists in initially subjecting the titanium waste to an electrochemical nanostructuring treatment of the surface by forming TiOnanotubes, before its being introduced into the retention column, where, upon passing a solution having a known concentration of beryllium through the column filled with said nanostructured material, it is retained in a ratio of more than 99%, while upon the elution of the column with an acid solution, beryllium is released in a ratio of 90...92%, making possible its separation, concentration and recovery.
