The invention relates to a specific combination of short synthetic single-stranded DNA sequences that determine the folding of a third long single-stranded DNA sequence in a structure having the shape of Romania's map, useful in the field of biotechnologies. The specific sequences consist of 162 single-stranded DNA staple sequences having dimensions of 20-63 nitrogenous bases per sequence which are self-assembled with the DNA scaffold sequence of the M13mp18 bacteriophage under reaction conditions. The result is a structure in the shape of Romania's borders at the nanometric level as visualized by atomic force microscopy.
