Portable device for gravity-driven splitting of droplets into monodisperse droplet emulsion, method of passive droplet splitting implemented in this device and its use
Portable device for gravitational distribution of droplets by emulsion of monodispersive droplets, comprising an oil reservoir (2) with oil inlet (1) and a connection to at least one sample chamber (5) through a supply channel (3) and at least one sample chamber (5),from the maximum H value to the minimum h1 value of the nozzle (6),the sample chamber (5),is equipped with a sample inlet (4) and is connected to a single chamber of an emulsion drop (8) by a nozzle (6) ending with a threshold forcing emulsion and having a depth equal to the difference between the depth h2 of the emulsion drop chamber (8) and the depth h1 of the nozzle (6),where the emulsion drop chamber (8) is equipped with an emulsion drop outlet (9) and at least one oil outlet (7),is characterized by the fact that all system elements are aligned in one plane, with the sample chamber shape (5) narrowing and flattening towards the nozzle (6),the end part of which forms a threshold for the entrance to the emulsion droplet chamber (8),for the generation of emulsion droplets. The notification shall also cover the passive distribution of the droplet into emulsions and the use of the device.
