There is provided a numerical simulation method for unstructured grid tides and tidal currents based on GPU computation technology, comprising: sending grid 5 information and physical field information to GPU memory; computing internal grid cell face flux and volume source item by first kernel function using grid cell as computational cell and corresponding to GPU thread; computing boundary grid cell face flux by second kernel function using grid cell face as computational cell and corresponding to GPU thread; performing time advance computation using third 10 kernel function using cell as computational cell and corresponding to GPU thread; returning result to CPU by GPU; wherein multiple GPUs are used for parallel computation on internal and boundary grid cell face flux; time advance. The invention overcomes low computational efficiency problem caused by simple using grid cell or grid cell face as computation cell by separating flux computation of internal and 15 boundary grid cell face.
