method of preparing a stable dispersion of flocculated filler particles containing a specific particle size distribution for use in papermaking processes and method of preparing a stable dispersion of flocculated filler particles that have been dispersed using a high charge for use in papermaking processes, a method for preparing the stable dispersion of flocculated filler particles for the purpose of the papermaking process comprising a sequential addition of a flocculating agent first to an aqueous dispersion of the filler particles, followed by a cut of the dispersion, followed by the addition of a second flocculating agent to the dispersion and also a cut of the resulting charge flakes in the desired particle size resulting in cut resistant load flakes with a defined and controllable size distribution. in addition, a neutralizing coagulant can be added to the dispersion to partially or completely neutralize the funnel charge before the first flocculating agent is added.
