Method for preparing a cellulose-reactive glyoxalated polyvinylamide adduct and cellulose-reactive glyoxalated polyvinylamide adduct the present invention relates to a method for preparing a reactive polyvinylamide cellulose adduct and a composition resulting from the method. the preparation of the reactive cellulose adduct is carried out close to the critical concentration defined here. when the reaction is carried out close to this critical concentration, the risk of gelatination is minimized, the glyoxal consumed is maximized, and the useful life is enhanced. in addition, the glyoxalated vinylamides of the present invention provide efficiency in resisting moisture and dryness to paper and cardboard when compared to the adducts described in the previously described technique.
