the invention relates to a method for providing data records (28, 30) for the units (100), in particular wind power installations, of a wind farm (112). the wind farm (112) is divided into at least two groups (122, 124), in which at least one, multiples, or all groups in each case have at least two units (100). first, a record of individual data (28, 30) is produced (50) for each of the groups (122, 124). then a data packet (34) comprising at least the individual generated data records (28, 30) is generated (52) and subsequently the data packet (34) is transmitted (54) to all units of the wind farm. the invention also relates to a wind farm controller (10, 21), a method for receiving a data record (28, 30), a unit (100), and a wind farm (112).
