it is a multilayer dressing to treat tissue with negative pressure, instillation or both. in some embodiments, a first layer can be formed from cross-linked foam that has a series of holes. a second layer disposed adjacent the first layer can be formed from a perforated polymer. the dressing may optionally include a third layer formed from a soft polymer, such as a silicone gel. the third layer can also have perforations or openings. the third layer is, in general, oriented to face a tissue site, and can be arranged adjacent to the first layer so that the first layer is arranged between the third layer and the first layer. the perforations or openings in the third layer can be leveled with one or more perforations in the first layer.
