To provide an acceptance/rejection determination method and an acceptance/rejection determination device for a dull-finished material surface which can perform acceptance/rejection determination for the dull-finished material surface more accurately and efficiently than before.SOLUTION: An acceptance/rejection determination device 1 uses a color image acquired by one color camera 3. The acceptance/rejection determination device, not requiring setting of two cameras as is conventionally done, does not involve generation of a difference in an imaging position and therefore can more accurately perform acceptance/rejection determination for a dull-finished material surface 10a. In addition, the acceptance/rejection determination device 1, when performing the acceptance/rejection determination for the dull-finished material surface 10a, is simply required to determine a ratio of hues in the color image and therefore can efficiently perform the acceptance/rejection determination for a wide range of the dull-finished material surface 10a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
