PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gold electrode modified with mesoporous carbon CMK-8 having a cubic Ia3d structure, and a method for detecting a trace amount of carbadox by an electrochemical sensor using the same. A gold electrode is modified with mesoporous carbon CMK-8 having a cubic Ia3d structure to obtain a modified electrode. The modified electrode is immersed in a test solution containing carbadox, and an electric potential is applied to concentrate the modified electrode. Next, a three-electrode system using the modified electrode as a working electrode is constructed, and the concentrated carbadox is measured. [Selection diagram] Figure 2
