PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of minimally restricting a specification of a crane used in constructing a pier with a long-span structure or a long and large pile.SOLUTION: In an erection method to install a support pile 4 by making use of a beam structure 1 (pier panel) of a pier extending like a cantilever, a column body 3 that supports an intermediate part of the beam structure 1 extending like a cantilever is erected to tentatively support the beam structure 1. The erected column body 3 serves to tentatively support a construction machine used for erecting and removing of the pier and the beam structure 1. The column body 3 for intermediate support comprises, for example, a support pile inserted underground.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3D
