PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible probe sensitivity calibration method, and ultrasonic wave flaw detection-purpose reference test piece as well as ultrasonic wave flaw detection method that can make sensitivity adjustments appropriate for a flexible probe.SOLUTION: A flexible probe sensitivity calibration method is configured to: fabricate a reference test piece 20 that has a plurality of concave curve surfaces 21a, 22a, and 23a, and a plurality of lateral holes 21b, 22b, and 23b arranged in the vicinity of the concave curve surface every the concave curve surfaces 21a, 22a, and 23a; make an oscillator 12 of a flexible probe 1 run along the plurality of concave curve surfaces 21a, 22a, and 23a of the reference test piece 20 every the plurality of concave curve surfaces thereof to arrange the oscillator in contact with the concave curve surface, and transmit/receive an ultrasonic wave; prepare an echo height segment line thanks to a distance amplitude characteristic curve with respect to each of the plurality of concave curve surfaces 21a, 22a, and 23a of the reference test piece 20; and set an echo height segment line prepared with respect to a curve surface of the same shape or an approximate shape as/to a concave curve surface Wa of an extra banking We of the concave curve surfaces 21a, 22a, and 23a of the reference test piece 20 as the echo height segment line of the concave curve surface Wa of the extra banking We thanks to the distance amplitude characteristic curve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
