PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error diagnosis program and an error diagnosis method capable of performing error diagnosis even on an encrypted communication packet.;SOLUTION: An error diagnostic device 101 acquires message data 200 that represents a message size and a response time of a response message specified from an encrypted packet group transmitted and received within a predetermined period T. The error diagnostic device 101 identifies peak sizes that satisfy a first condition from a frequency distribution of the message size of the response message on the basis of the message data 200. When there is a peak size different from the peak size of the response message in the normal state stored in advance in the identified peak sizes, the error diagnostic device 101 determines whether or not the frequency distribution of the response time of response messages of different peak sizes satisfies a second condition on the basis of the message data 200.
